Focused on enhancing the National Strategy for Financial Education (ENEF, for its acronym in Spanish) initiative, which aims to raise the financial culture of the country, the Superintendency of Banks of Panama (SBP) participated in the David International Fair 2022 with the stand “Tu Balboa con Sentido.”
The Superintendent of Banks, Amauri A. Castillo, and the Secretary General, Michelle Arango, inaugurated the stand that provided visitors with financial education information through the website www.tubalboaconsentido.gob.pa, especially the free online course “Better decisions starting today.” Likewise, visitors were invited to follow us on our social networks @tubalboaconsentido.gob.pa on IG and FB to learn about practical financial education tips.
During the fair, a contest called #ChiriquíAhorraConSentido was held, where the first three places were awarded.
“By participating in fairs we will be able to strengthen the financial culture of citizens, which will allow them to make appropriate personal financial decisions, which has a favorable impact on the economy,” said the Superintendent of Banks, Amauri A. Castillo, during the inauguration event of the “Tu Balboa con Sentido” stand.
During the David International Fair, one of the most important events in the western region of the country, various activities were conducted: a panel in which business associations participated with the theme “Financial Education and its impact on corporate productivity,” free workshops on financial education for elementary and high school students and company employees, with the aim of preparing them to be financially responsible citizens.
It is worth noting that this activity was carried out with the support of Sparkassenstiftung Alemana Latinoamérica y el Caribe.
Once again, the SBP is committed to offering the Panamanian people the necessary tools to manage their finances in a healthy manner.
