The Board of Directors of the Superintendency of Banks of Panama (SBP) recently approved the appointment of Messrs. Rafael Guardia Pérez, as its representative on the Board of Directors of the Superintendency of the Securities Market (SMV), and David Alberto Davarro, as its representative on the Board of Directors of the Superintendency of Insurance and Reinsurance of Panama (SSRP).
On 16 August 2022, the Board of Directors of the SBP approved these appointments by means of Board of Directors’ Resolutions SBP-JD-0021-2022 and SBP-JD-0022-2022, respectively, for two years.
The appointment of a member of the Board of Directors of the SBP as its representative on the Board of Directors of the Superintendency of Insurance and Reinsurance of Panama and of the Securities Market is based on Article 17 of Law 12 dated 3 April 2012 and Article 19 of Law 67 dated 1 September 2011, respectively.
