MILTON AYÓN WONG
Superintendent of Banks of Panama


Mr. Ayón Wong holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Panama and a master’s in business administration from Nova Southeastern University, United States.

He completed the KPMG International Partner Program and studied at INSEAD in Paris and the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia, United States.

In the private sector, he has held various positions of responsibility, including General Manager of Real Panameña de Seguros, Executive Director and General Manager of Banco Real, General Manager of ABN AMRO Bank, Managing Partner of KPMG Panama, President of KCA (KPMG Central America and the Dominican Republic) and CEO and General Manager of Credicorp Bank, S.A.

He currently chairs the Financial Coordination Council (CCF), is a member of the National Commission against Money Laundering, Financing of Terrorism, and the Financing of the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (CNBC) and serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Central American Council of Superintendents of Banks, Insurance, and Other Financial Institutions (CCSBSO).

In the professional field, he was President of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement Panama, President of the Banking Association of Panama, President and current honorary member of the Latin American Federation of Banks (FELABAN), President of the College of Certified Public Accountants of Panama and member of the Board of Directors of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
