An alliance between the Asociación Panameña de Ejecutivos de Empresa (APEDE, Panamanian Association of Business Executives) and the Superintendency of Banks of Panama (SBP) creates new opportunities for the private sector to join the efforts that seek to promote financial education nationwide.
The “Cooperation Agreement for the Promotion of Financial Education,” signed by the President of APEDE, Elisa Suárez de Gómez, and the Superintendent of Banks, Amauri A. Castillo, will be valid for two (2) years and will facilitate cooperation for the dissemination of the information provided through the website www.tubalboaconsentido.gob.pa, among the employees, the members of the business association and the general public.
During the event, Superintendent Castillo thanked this important business association for joining this initiative to promote financial education for the benefit of all Panamanians.
In view of this agreement, APEDE undertook to support, free of charge, the dissemination of the “Tu Balboa con Sentido” website and of tis main contents, from its own website and social media.
Likewise, APEDE would be collaborating in financial education training processes through groups of volunteers or those employees or partners engaged in financial education programs developed by the guild.
On the other hand, the SBP will provide the necessary training to educate this group of facilitators.
In this context, there are already seven national and international public and private entities that have joined the network of cooperating organizations that promote the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion.
