The Board of Directors of the Superintendency of Banks of Panama (SBP) appointed Messrs. Felipe Echandi Lacayo and David Alberto Davarro as Chairman and Secretary of said body, respectively.
The appointments will be for one (1) year, counted from 14 December 2022 until 14 December 2023, as indicated in Resolution SBP-JD-0049-2022 dated 22 November 2022.
The Board of Directors of the Superintendency of Banks is the highest body of consultation, regulation, and general policy-setting of the banking regulatory body.
Establishing the administrative interpretation and scope of the legal stipulations and regulations on banking matters is among the technical duties of the Board of Directors.
