For the second year, ‘Tu Balboa con Sentido’ and the Superintendency of Banks of Panama are participating in the 59th edition of the Azuero International Fair (FIA), where the Azuero community and visitors will learn, in an engaging manner, about saving and budgeting, how to manage money, as well as financial advice, free of charge.
The ‘Tu Balboa con Sentido’ booth seeks to support the National Strategy for Financial Education (NSFE), which aims to raise the country’s financial literacy and educate the population about financial matters.
“Strengthening the financial literacy of citizens, particularly in the middle- and low-income sectors, micro and small entrepreneurs, will enable them to make informed decisions about their personal finances,” said Michelle Arango, Secretary-General of the Superintendency of Banks, during the inauguration of the booth.
The FIA booth, labeled as CA-21, is located on the top floor of the Canajagua building. The staff of the Superintendency of Banks will be at your disposal to provide guidance and information on how to save, create a budget, and manage credit properly.
During the two-week fair, financial education workshops will be offered at various educational institutions in the area.
On the other hand, the FIA presentation stage provided the perfect setting for the Superintendency’s folk ensemble to deliver a brilliant performance, which visiting families thoroughly enjoyed.
The FIA serves as a commercial, agricultural, industrial, handcraft, tourist, folk, and cultural showcase. The presence of the Superintendency of Banks was present at this great event highlight the folklore of our country.”
