Knowledge and Best Practices Sharing with the CNBS of Honduras

Friday, 28 February 2025

On February 25, 26, and 27, 2025, a designated staff from the National Banking and Insurance Commission (CNBS for its acronym in Spanish) of Honduras visited the SBP with the objective of exchanging knowledge and experiences regarding the SBP’s best practices in key areas of consolidated supervision.

During this enriching international internship, CNBS representatives had the opportunity to learn about the processes implemented by the SBP, particularly in the design and execution of "Supervisory Colleges" and the risk profile of financial conglomerates.

The exchange of experiences and best practices during the working sessions was highly interactive, allowing for an in-depth discussion on the most relevant processes for the CNBS to assess the implementation of new tools in its supervisory framework.

We are very proud to have been part of this knowledge-sharing initiative, which undoubtedly contributes to strengthening financial supervision in the region.

The delegation was led by Omar Colindres, Acting Superintendent of Banks, who spearheaded this exchange on behalf of the CNBS of Honduras with great commitment and professionalism. On behalf of the SBP, participants included staff from the Directorate of Financial Supervision Conglomerates (DSCF) and the Directorate of International Affairs and Projects (DAPI).
